Originally developed to track “Telstar”, Goonhilly quickly grew into the world’s largest satellite earth station and throughout its history has brought us many historic and memorable TV events, including the moon landings, the original “Live Aid” and of course Eurovision.

 

As part of your admission, you will be taken on a 45 minute guided shuttle bus tour onto the main operational site and visit “Project Future”, a dedicated exhibition area featuring past inventions and predictions for the future, hologram type film show and even leave your thoughts and ideas for the future using our interactive displays.

 

NEW FOR 2009

 

For gaming fans of all ages take a step back in time and enter our “History of Video Games” exhibition area. From the basic but nostalgic “Space Invaders” and “Pacman” to the latest in PS3, Wii and Xbox games, come and play for FREE and see some memorable reminders of how this industry began and developed. Perfect for kids of all ages.

 

Future World @ Goonhilly is also home of the SEGWAY in Cornwall and offers a unique and exclusive opportunity for people to experience these amazing futuristic personal transporters. Visitors can chose from either an On-Road tour or for the more adventurous and NEW for 2009 an Off-Road safari. Full safety equipment and training is provided and after your guided tour receive a free Segway certificate.
