Children be can be trainee archaeologists for the day, discovering finds and learning how to process them! Plus, adults can have a go at dowsing, see displays of finds and speak to our experts.

The girls of St. Godley’s School are in trouble! Money for the school has run out and the place will have to close.
Leave it to these resourceful girls, and their unflappable headmistress (played by a man in drag), to come up with a plan to keep the school afloat.
Using whatever they can find at hand, the girls mount an original production: a musical version of Moby Dick, featuring their headmistress in the coveted role of Captain Ahab.

Stand and Deliver! Learn how to be a highwayman and listen to stories of villains from days gone by.
In a version developed for the National Theatre in 1978, Flora Thompson’s much loved books are brought vividly to life in this heart-warming celebration of English rural life in the 1880s. Using live folk music and a rich cast of characters, it evokes, during a day of harvest, a vanishing world of agricultural customs and culture seen through the eyes of young Laura. It will be presented by a company of 28 actors and musicians.

This annual and much-loved event is a delight for young and old, with a special Christmas trail around the garden eventually leading to Santa's Grotto.
The Grotto is decorated with wonderful pine branches and is a magical hideaway where children can meet Father Christmas by a real fire and make their Christmas wishes.
All children receive a very special present from Santa.
